Keap in short

Keap's core plan for a small team is Keap at $249 per month for the account with annual billing ($299 billed monthly). For a team of 5, that is $4,640 in the first year, including required implementation package (shown at $500, list $1,500).

Choose it if

  • Solo owners and small service businesses that want CRM, follow-up automation, invoicing and payments in one tool and will use the done-with-you setup
  • Teams of about 2 users with roughly 1,500 contacts that can budget $249-$299/mo plus onboarding
  • Practices needing a signed HIPAA BAA from the CRM vendor (BAA listed on Keap's legal page)

Skip it if

  • Budget-first buyers: entry price is $249/mo billed annually ($299 monthly) for 2 users, with no cheaper tier
  • Teams of 5+ sellers: each extra user is $39/mo on top of the flat price
  • Buyers who want to self-implement: pricing page states implementation services are required
  • Buyers who need non-US texting: text marketing automation is US only

Support is limited to in-house staff during regular business hours because overflow/after-hours vendors are not HIPAA-compliant. CustomerHub is not HIPAA compatible and the BAA does not cover third-party marketplace apps. Conflict to check: the BAA page at keap.com/legal redirects to thryv.com/terms/crm-baa (Keap is now part of Thryv), which says it is offered to Thryv CRM customers and that email and SMS messaging are not HIPAA-compliant and must not carry PHI.

Keap pros and cons

What holds up

  • One plan includes every feature; no feature-gated tiers (pipeline, automation, quotes/invoices, API, Zapier all in the $299/mo plan)[1]
  • Includes 1,500 contacts and 2 users in the base price; Tier 1 text/voice (500 messages, 100 minutes) included[1]
  • Business Associate Agreement for HIPAA is offered on Keap's legal page[4]
  • 90-day money-back guarantee published on Keap legal page[4]
  • Free trial requires no credit card[1]

What to watch

  • Annual contract carries a $299 early termination fee; cancellation must be requested by phone at least 10 days before the next invoice date[1]
  • Implementation services are described as required; the package on the implementation page is $500 (struck-through $1,500) for a business mapping session, 2 launched automations, basic data import, up to 15 hours of migration, and strategy calls over 12 months[2]
  • Price rises in contact steps: 5,000 total contacts is $449/mo monthly or $369/mo annual-billing equivalent (computed from the page's tier data)[1]
  • Extra users cost $39/mo each beyond 2; user count is not part of any cheaper tier[1]
  • Free trial is limited: 25-email cap, no payment processing, no texts[1]
  • Text marketing beyond Tier 1 costs $24-$279/mo; overage $0.015 per message and $0.01 per voice minute; automated/broadcast texting is US only[1]

Recent changes

  • 2024-10 Acquired by Thryv Holdings for $80M cash; a news report gives Oct 31, 2024 for announcement and closing (other reports say Oct 29). Keap was formerly Infusionsoft (renamed Keap in 2019).[6]
  • 2024-10 Keap FAQ after the deal: existing Keap subscriptions, plans and billing unchanged for now; any Thryv products added are a separate charge; a unified partner program with Thryv is planned.[3]

The money trail

Keap (Thryv, Inc.) runs an affiliate program (PartnerStack): Affiliate Partner: 20% recurring commission on all paid subscriptions for 1 year, 90-day cookie. We are not an approved affiliate yet, so every link on this page goes straight to the vendor and earns us nothing. Either way, the score above is computed without this information.

What we could not verify

Listed so you know where to ask the vendor directly.

  • Free trial length in days is not stated on the pricing page or FAQ
  • Whether the $500 implementation price is a standing price or a time-limited promotion (page shows $1,500 struck through and says 'ask about promotional offers')
  • QuickBooks Online integration: a Keap help-center article exists (help.keap.com redirects to a Thryv help site that could not be read); plan availability and cost unverified
  • Keap's affiliate cookie duration and network not published on keap.com/refer
  • Optional service/coaching add-ons exist in the pricing page data (Bronze $54/mo, Silver $109/mo, Gold $549/mo, Platinum packages $1,097-$3,297/mo on monthly billing; 'Keep Growing 1:1 Ongoing' $499/mo) but are not described in page text; not confirmed as buyer-visible
  • Pricing-page data also contains Keap Max Ignite/Grow/Scale plans (Grow: 3 users, 2,500 contacts, $399 monthly / $329 annual-equivalent; Scale: 5 users, 5,000 contacts, $599 / $499) that are not displayed on the public pricing page; treat as unverified for new buyers
  • Secondary sources disagree on when the single-plan model started (2024-2025 vs Aug 2026)
  • Custom objects not documented on the pricing page; null rather than 'no'
